My husband and I travelled to South Korea in April of this year to adopt our son Jack Hwan. His transition to his new forever family was a difficult one. You see our sweet Jacky had been in 3 different foster homes and had 2 extended hospital stays without a mom or dad to be there with him. This child was terrified of everything new around him, overwhelmed with the sheer amount of space in our home and absolutely resentful and distrusting of me (or any other female caregiver – as so many had “failed” him). I had ordered a Boba before we left for Korea, and pulled it out of the closet at 3 AM, strapped that baby to my back and started walking. We walked, and walked, and walked and walked some more. Until the days stretched into weeks, and the weeks into months…And each time Jack grew more trusting of me. When we were first ready to venture out into public, on vacation, to the mall, to shops and restaurants, rather than bring a stroller, we brought our Boba. Jack felt safe on our backs and was up high and could see all the action. He would begin to ask for it if he was having a bad day. I love me some Boba – I will shout it from the rooftops…to anyone who will listen. Congrats on making the most fantastic product in the world.
